Alphy Online Elementary School covers grades from 1 to 5. Our knowledge-rich curriculum and unique learning methodology ensure that our youngest students make confident first steps towards education. The program is fun, creative, and interactive, which keeps younger students attentive and engaged. Our committed tutors keep a close eye on the students’ progress on a daily basis. Throughout our online elementary school program, children build a solid foundation for middle school.

The elementary school program enables students to learn gradually. They start from the basics and expand their knowledge step by step, to the extent that corresponds with their age. Students follow six courses per grade, however, if a family considers this to be too overwhelming for a child, we can remove electives from the curriculum.

The Learning Process

The platform we’re using is an interactive online learning management system (LMS), which contains all the necessary materials, resources, and assignments. Children can access the platform 24/7 and study independently at their own pace. What our students love the most about our platform is its multimedia content: audio and video lessons, quizzes, and games make their learning experience much more fun!

In addition, group and individual classes are another important element of the learning process in our school. Our group classes are organized in small groups of 3-6 students, based on their time zone, grade level entry, and progress. They are an excellent opportunity for students to socialize and meet their classmates from around the world. Group classes have a predetermined fixed schedule that suits everyone’s needs.

Individual classes are one-on-one sessions with the student’s assigned tutor, and you can schedule them at your own convenience. The biggest advantage of individual classes is that students receive focused support in the areas they find difficult or unclear.

Enrollment and Tuition Fee

The school year at Alphy School starts whenever you’re ready! Our enrollment period extends throughout the entire year. All you need to do to start studying is send us your child’s ID and latest educational transcript to admissions@alphyschool.org and one of our consultants will inform you about the following steps.

Educational Transcript

Upon finalization of any online elementary school grade, we issue an educational transcript to our students. That is an official document that proves a student has successfully finished the grade.

Our elementary school students have 4 core and 2 elective courses. The core courses are broken down into 2-semester courses per grade level, while elective courses can last for both one and two semesters.

What is my child does not speak perfect English?

That does not present a problem. Our tutors and program aim to improve the English language skills of young children. The methodological approach that we apply has given the best results, and we have successfully managed to teach children aged five and six, to start speaking English. You can always book a free consultation with our consultant or a teacher and talk to them about this matter before enrolling.

Is online learning effective for elementary school students?

Our experience has shown that online learning can be as effective as traditional schooling, even for kids who are at the elementary school level. At an online school, kids learn at their own tempo. Interactive and multimedia learning material on the platform catches and keeps their attention, enabling them to learn faster. Our tutors adapt their teaching style to each student’s needs, and that is particularly useful with young students.

Do parents have to work with a child in an online elementary school?

Yes, parents have to work with a child in elementary school grades. That goes especially for students in Grades 1 and 2 because they are learning basics, and they don’t have learning habits, yet. While our tutors are there for support and guided learning, parents must go through the learning material with a child outside the classes. When it comes to children in grades 3 or 4, they require parents’ help from time to time.

How do I prepare for an online elementary school?

Ensure a peaceful and distraction-free space for your child to learn at home. A computer or a laptop with a steady internet connection is necessary. You don’t need to buy books because the learning material is on the platform, but a notebook and a pen are good things to have. An online school doesn’t have strict timetables, so kids tend to lose themselves in that freedom. Help them create a schooling schedule and stick to it.

How many classes per day do students have?

Elementary school students have between four and eight online group classes a week (one or two per day). Group classes are organized only for core subjects, and the timetables are fixed – morning and afternoon shifts (Central European Time). You can get a detailed group classes schedule from one of our consultants, but the timing usually fits most time zones. A student can schedule an individual class at their own convenience.
